Cassandra Knight / C.N. Knight was born in Bremerton, Washington. Growing up in two entirely different families, she often retreated to her world of imagination to make sense of life, which fed her passion for writing stories.

 

Instead of pursuing that passion, after graduating high school, she attended college, worked in various jobs, and started some businesses of her own, in an attempt to find something more practical than writing. However, her love of creating always brought her back.

 

Thanks to the complete life makeover in recent years that took her from her home in Charlotte, North Carolina to start over in New York, Cassandra began to pursue her writing career, unwilling to allow anything else to get in the way.

 

She is currently working on her debut novel, which is scheduled to publish Summer 2025. In between working full-time, keeping herself alive, and writing her first novel -- she will also launch Melanin & Prose, a Podcast to support Black Authors and Creatives, beginning in 2025.
